Summary:   
The Plant Manager II will manage multiple facilities and/or lead team(s) of field service technicians in all duties, to successfully operate utility-scale wind or solar projects. Responsibilities center around managing preventative and corrective maintenance of the assets, communicating project information to managers, owners and stake holders, maintaining full compliance with regulatory agencies and contract, coaching and mentoring technicians.
 
Requirements:     
  • Oversees O&M of multiple Renewable Energy Facilities
  • Manages on-site team of technicians
  • Coordinates warranty and repair work with manufacturer or other 3rd party
  • Manages project subcontractors
  • Manages maintenance/outage schedule
  • Manages site budget(s) and reports variances
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Develops site operating plans
  • Develops site safety plans
  • Builds productive relationships with project stakeholders (land owner, project owners, OEMs, etc)
  • Troubleshoots low voltage DC power systems and networks
  • Troubleshoots low voltage, medium voltage, and high voltage AC power systems
  • Identifies faulty or underperforming equipment
  • Ensures all work is recorded in computerized maintenance management system
  • Manages site inventory
  • Conducts and attends regular meetings with project stakeholders
  • Operates RES company vehicles, including trucks, in accordance with state and federal laws and RES policies.
  • Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
  • Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies & Procedures.

Safety:  
  • Follows safety and security procedures and determines appropriate action.
  • Ensures that safety is the most important function, follows safe practices while working.

  • Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.
  • Adheres to and ensures all site team members understands standard operating procedures.
  • Receives job task specific training prior to work commencing.
  • Leads and supports the site team in technical, quality and safety, utilizing systems in place.

Qualifications:  
  • Highschool/GED required
  • Associate degree in related technical field required
  • OSHA 10/30 preferred
  • FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot preferred
  • Infrared Thermography (any level) preferred
  • 5 years or more related electrical maintenance experience required
  • 5 years or more medium voltage electrical work experience required
  • 3 years or more high voltage electrical work experience required
  • 3 years or more managing or leading field technicians required
  • Ability to travel domestically 5-15% required
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License
Anticipated base salary range: $100,000 - $125,000
 
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is Bonus eligible.
